How a Love for Gathering Became Savour
It All Begins Here
My business was born from my genuine love of hosting and my belief in the beauty of bringing people together. There has always been something special to me about creating spaces where people can connect, celebrate, and make lasting memories.
My first real step into event design was organizing an old-fashioned sleepover for the ladies on my church's worship team. I poured my heart into every detail, wanting each guest to feel welcomed, appreciated, and celebrated. The overwhelming love, encouragement, and praise I received after the event took me by surprise. Seeing how much joy the experience brought to everyone was incredibly rewarding.
That moment sparked something in me. I realized that thoughtful design and intentional hospitality could transform an ordinary gathering into an unforgettable experience. From then on, I found myself wanting to create more of those meaningful moments—not only for my friends and family, but for anyone looking to celebrate life's special occasions.
Today, that same passion is the foundation of my business. Every event I design is created with the intention of helping people savor every moment, connect with the people they love, and leave with memories they'll cherish long after the celebration ends.
May journey here hasn't been a smooth road. While I was incredibly excited after planning my first event, that initial high quickly faded once I began thinking about what it would actually take to build a business. Turning a passion into a sustainable company felt overwhelming at times.
Like many entrepreneurs, I wrestled with self-doubt and the all-too-common questions: Isn't the market already too saturated? What makes my business different? Am I really capable of doing this? Those thoughts could have easily stopped me before I even began.
Fortunately, I've learned that struggle often breeds resilience. Instead of allowing doubt to define my journey, I've chosen to embrace the challenges as opportunities to grow. Every obstacle has taught me something valuable—whether it's refining my vision, strengthening my confidence, or developing new skills. Looking back, I'm grateful for those difficult moments because they've shaped not only my business but also who I am as an entrepreneur.
